Anti-Fraud Text Alert Service for Puget Sound Bank MasterCard Debit Cards

Guardian is an anti-fraud alert service for debit card transactions while using your Puget Sound Bank MasterCard debit card. Guardian from Puget Sound Bank will send you text alerts about suspicious card activity directly to you.

If the activity looks suspicious, simply reject the unauthorized activity and the information is immediately sent to a fraud analyst who will then block the card and contact you. This added layer of security allows you to more closely monitor your account, significantly reducing the likelihood of subsequent unauthorized transactions will occur.

If receive a text message and you know the purchase is legitimate, you don’t need to do anything. Guardian from Puget Sound Bank will continue to monitor your card for suspicious account activity.

Frequently Asked Questions

To register go to our Guardian Enrollment Site.

Please note: Some mobile service providers require that we send a 30-day subscription reminder message to their customers participating in the Guardian program. You will receive an alert message every 30 days reminding you of the subscription if your mobile service provider is Sprint, Nextel, Boost, or Virgin. The alert message will display as: “Reminder: You have subscribed to Guardian transaction alerts for Peoples State Bank. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to cancel.”

Renewal notifications will be sent to your device six days prior to the expiration. Three renewal text message attempts will be made before the device is set to expire. If you do not respond, the device will be removed from Guardian upon expiration. If you renew the device multiple times, it will extend an additional year for each extra click. So if you want to renew for 5 years, click the renewal button 5 times. When you click renew, you will have to send a message each time to the system similar to the original enrollment text message. You will need to reply to the short code 5 times.
